Halifax are counting the cost of their 36-12 defeat to Widnes on Sunday afternoon which could see them without Simon Grix and Will Sharp for Saturday afternoons crucial trip to the Halliwell-Jones where they will take on the Warrington Wolves.

Still looking for their first points in the Qualifiers, defeat at the weekend could signal the end of their quest for Super League in 2018.

It is likely that Grix will escape suspension if he accepts the available Early Guilty Plea (EGP) for a dangerous contact in the 16th minute on Runciman. The charge is for a Grade A offence and the EGP would see Grix just receiving a fine.

Will Sharp is not so lucky and has been cited for a Grade B tripping incident in the 67th minute on Mellor and as he does not have an EGP available he will have to attend the disciplinary meeting tomorrow evening to determine his fate. With the traffic being one to two games, if found guilty he will miss Sunday's trip.

The only other charge for for Tinitau Arona for the striking with the know in Wakefield Trinitys big win over the Leeds Rhinos, for which Arona received a caution as to his future conduct.
