| Do you really think that anyone will look up the Fleetwood Mac back catalogue on the success of a crap cover version of one track? They'll pick up one album, go "Ick, sounds nothing like Glee" and beggar back off to Glee-land with it's insipid covers.
As for the right-wing shock jock, is it not possible he was just making an outlandish statement to get some attention, what with him being a shock-jock and all that?
Glee = worthwhile music? Do me a favour.....

| Glee and shows of that ilk unquestionably do help sales of terrible old bands. X-Factor in this country is the main one, but it's without question that every record company exec is whoring their back catalogues round all these shows in order to get their music on the show. If you look at the charts the week after X-Factor, there is always a terrible old song they sung on the show in the top 10.
Anyhow, Rihanna? California King Bed? Awesome.

[size=120Fleetwood Mac [/sizehave been mentioned, the only other one that springs immediately to my mind is [size=120Journey[/size (but then I don't watch any of these shows) ...
Are these the 'terrible old bands' to which you refer?

Didn't go to that one but have seen them a couple of times - definitely didn't disappoint live!
Did they play much from the new album?

| Glee is what it is - High School Musical with storylines more suited to post watershed viewing.
The performance elements of it are well put together even if they are nothing new.

I don't like Fleetwood Mac, Journey are okay if you are in a very cheesy mood. I meant in general though rather than attacking any specific bands.

They played two tracks from the new one from what I remember (Edit: Was actually about 4, but I'm not as familiar with the new one as I am with the old albums) . There was a good mix from all the albums bar their debut. Really enjoyed it and it also felt pretty poignant being that I'd been to a funeral during the day.
I did have tickets to see them a few years ago, but there was a storm in the US which meant they had to cancel as they couldn't get over here, so I've been waiting to see them for quite a while.

No, I introduced the names as they were the only ones I could bring to mind. Neither are big favourites of mine but have both done stuff I do rate.
