My old man is Head of Health & Safety for a large multi-national, and have heard of similar instances. The protocol is to stop any machine regardless of if it messes up the job, before you insert anything into the machine to retreive debris etc.



Your manager may get a bit of a b*llocking if he hasnt informed you of safe procedure to work on that machine but did you seriously think putting your hand into a moving, operating, heavyu duty machine was a good idea??

If he has done it of his own initiative, he may be buggered.



There is something not adding up here. Feels like a classic bmot story.

Its a good job he turned the machine of when he did, or it could off been alot worst.

Have you signed paperwork to state you are fully trained and authorised to used the machinery in all aspects that may arise?

no just the ones to say i have the correct ppe. I got tought how to use my machine on the secon week there an been shown bits on top as have been there.

So are you actually trained to use the machine?
