Dual Reg, but with Fax choosing who they want to use, not Rovers telling us who we have to have!

Let's hope this is the way it works. Still not a fan of Dual Reg, but as is stated, it may be the only way to bridge the gap to the full time teams.

Reading both articles, it sounds like dual reg with a twist of common sense. I don't like dual reg in its current form but this seems different.



The coaches know each other very well and I like the idea of the liaison officer in Netherton. It could work.

Bold progressive move by the BOD, Well done. It won't please everyone but it will help us bolster our squad when needed and give our younger players opportunities in a competitive Lower league.

It seems that it is being done on our own terms. Importantly, the coaches have sat down and discussed those terms. Marshall is his own man.



The implications for the Middle 8 are more interesting...what will happen if Hull KR are in the bottom 4...which there is every chance of happening.

If Hull KR are in the middle 8 with us, then the DR has worked because without it the odds appear to be heavily stacked against us, yourselves Fev, Sheffield and us are probably scrapping for one place, at the moment we would be third favourites.



We wouldn't of course get any DR players for the game against HKR.

Although Rovers will offer players to Gateshead and Halifax, the receiving club will always retain the option of whether or not to play any dual-registered player.

Why Hull KR though? Who they gonna send us? Second rate Aussies filling their pension? Not exactly renowned for their youth development are they?
