That rule is a joke, if he had gone to disciplinary he should have been given 4 or 5 due to the circumstances.

Come on Faxers , get over Sam Barlow , the lad is a LEIGH player now , stop acting like KH ,sour grapes are not very tasteful , concentrate on your Rugby , and not what happens with other teams players .See you all at the LSV in June .

He's a thug and sometimes you're a complete dick. He'll do more harm than good for your club. I await the fall out and I WILL say I told you so.

The problem with that particular incident & it's punishment during the game

( sending off decision ) is that had young Mr Barlow not been sent off we may have benefitted from him not getting sent off. We've seen how Sheffield have got to him over the last couple of years while he played for us, we might have been better off if he'd not got caught during the incident, cited after the game & then allow the relevant authorities to deal with any further punishments but he may well have given penalties away had he stayed on the field instead of being dismissed and we might just have scored enough points to actually win the game !

I don't blame him or his club for registering the early plea, why wouldn't anyone in that position ? I've known Sam for a few years now & i wish him all the best, except for when he plays against Halifax, same as any other former player. I for one hope the Leigh bubble bursts, we'll see how they pull up after the challenge cup tie at the weekend, but if they win that, they will gain even more confidence for the remainder of the season, i wish that was the televised game to be honest & they knock lups off each other.

MM im glad you have no axe to grind with Sam , ive only ever spoke to him once and he seems a very pleasant young man , very cheery and polite , but I suppose once on the field he doesn't like to lose , but who does ?As for the Leigh bubble bursting , I think you will find we take nowt for granted , it was Fax fans crowing last April after you beat us at the Shay that prompted me to remind you "Flying High in April , Shot Down in May ", as the Guvnor Mr Sinatra used to say , and how right I was .The Cup run is just a Bonus for us at Leigh its the League we want or second place , you Faxers are welcome to 4th spot

Have no time for Sam as a person or as a player. How he conducts himself for me is not right. But you cant blame Leigh for doing the early plea. If you can dispense with the clown act for five minutes there's an underlying tragic fact in all this Barlow nonsense. He shouldn't even be playing in this League. He should be playing in SL but his indiscipline and naivety will ensure he stays down here. Two good coaches couldn't steer him and judging by Rowley's "proud" comments last week then neither will he.



He was very popular with Fax fans until his indiscipline and off- field bullsh**t made him a squad liability. You've had him for five minutes Charlie. Take heed lad.

You are entitled to your opinions about Sam as a Player , but as a Person ?Unless of course he has done something to you , nobody knows about ?And neither do I want to know , but you may NEVER have even met Sam .A good friend of mine an ex-player had comments made about him personally , by a Fan who had never even met him , how can people make comments like this , its beyond me .

Rich , I can dispence with the Clown façade for much longer than that , but why take life so seriously , Rugby is just a Game the outcome of which I cannot control , but anyone who knows me will tell you , im very competitive in other things , I hate Losing you should try playing Poker with me .



Again I feel Fax fans should let the Sam Barlow factor go , his Fax days are over , let him get on with his career ,Paul Rowley is not only a good coach , but a very good man manager , who treats players as they expect to be treated , im sure he will make the most of Sam .OK Leigh have had him for a short time , but your worries should be about your own players doing childish waving , and the like .Anyway rant over .

As I have said before Sam is a very nice bloke, always pleased to chat, have his photo taken with Halifaxjohnsrugrats and generally conducts himself well, off the pitch.

I think Sam would have benefitted from at least one match suspension, that way he could reflect on what he did. (It was out of order) instead, as we know from past experience he won't learn and sorry Charlie, Mr Rowley may have said in public that he is proud of Sam but if the result had gone against Leigh would he have been that proud?

Again as I have said before I wish Sam was still with us and before the game I urged Fax Fans to give him a break. After the game I used the word morons for the way Fax Fans goaded Sam. It certainly looks as though Sam had the last laugh.

BUT I agree with littlerich, unless someone gets inside his head and tells him he can do far more damage on the pitch than off it then Charlie, your going to be very disappointed, and for Sams sake and yours I hope your not.

Ps come on lads were Rugby League, no more falling out or I'll send Mrshalifaxjohn round, she'll sort you out. Frightening, I can tell you.
