| So there I were watching us hammer Donny, I fall asleep for what must have only been 20 minutes only to find out we had drawn.
We look a team devoid of any confidence where any flair players we do have dont know whether they are coming or going because they are playing one week then dropped the next. Next week we will see again chops and changes to players that, admitedly arnt playing that great but certainly arnt the worst culprits, when we see Tyrer back in for Sheriffe, Patto back in for Fieldhouse and whatever other changes to the team avoiding where the actual problems are at half back and hooker.
We need a coach similar to Powell or Aston who actually manages to get the best out of their players and where you see improvement in their games. Anyone of our players stand out as getting better this year?

| We did play a dour style of Rugby with those players, but I suspect, as you are finding out, it's more to do with someone else who was at our club and is now at yours.

| at the start of the season I said I don't mind reserved rugby if it gets results against the top teams or at least makes us competitive. Well its clear the style we play cant compete with the top teams or teams around us and now it seems we struggle against so called lower opposition. This was very much like Batley used to be, a 4/5th placed team who just could never make the step up to compete with the bigger teams. Well we have Batleys ex coach and a few of their players so should be no surprise we are now the "new" old Batley.
Comments that Karl made after the Fev at home game about it not mattering now infuriate me, it does, look at the crowds, and all this has a knock on affect for next season, budget etc. You don't see other top teams saying ah never mind it doesn't matter. We have gone forwards off the pitch but on it backwards just as the door to super league maybe opened a bit more.
Whats happened to the likes of Fieldhouse, Worrincy etc, exciting players who are a shadow of their former selves, all down to our style and coaching. I question the fitness of a few of our players who need to decide if its a hobby or a professional sport they play. You should want to be the best you can be no matter what level you play at, not just do the bare minimum. Fact is for a club the size of Halifax and with the resources we have we are massively under performing on the pitch.

| All the hard work of the last few years to take us forward on the pitch undone in less than 2 seasons by Harrison.
The next coach coming in purely needed to tweak a few things to take us forward and use the time to build up our crowds. Instead we look a very poor and unfit side and have gone backwards on the pitch and fans are turning their backs on the team ... Fans are currently leaving in droves and I'm struggling to come up with excuses to keep watching this garbage myself. Not even blind loyalty is cutting it...
Harrison is to blame entirely, his tactics and brand of rugby are making this side one of the worst I've watched in years.

| I question the player recruitment also, why we let players like Miles Greenwood go I'll never know.

| Miles was "retiring" wasn't he following his injuries, had a small period out of the game then reappeared at Oldham IIRC

I NEVER ONCE criticised during the Calland era because quite frankly I found it entertaining. Frustrating yes, but thoroughly entertaining. The stuff that Halifax are producing now reminds me of 1980's Bradford Northern side. Theirs was THE most boring team I've ever witnessed but we're beginning to show signs of it over this past month.

| I certainly criticised Calland not for entertainment but on sheer squad alone he should have had a clean sweep of all competitions. I'd love to see what Powell or Ashton would have done with such a talented squad at their disposal. I think we underachieved to a degree and shoukd have win the League; but by god it was great to watch.
This stuff being churned out by Harrison is abysmal and I think he should do the right thing and walk away for the good of the club if he loves it as much as he says he does.....

I was sad to see Calland go, but go he had to.
Remember even before things turned bad, people were calling for Karl.
When Matt went no one other than Karl was interviewed for the post.
Many supporters got what they wanted, are those the ones who are calling for his head.
Leave it to the board.

| I certainly wanted Karl in the job, he was one of my heroes and I personally thought he'd got Batley punching way above their weight... With more resources available I thought it was a marriage made in heaven with his passion and love for the club for all to see.... I remember Batley fans telling me they were glad to see the back of him and I thought it was sour grapes....
The BOD will again do what's right although I'd expect they are tied due to his contract. As a fan who welcomed Karl and applauded his appointment sadly it hasn't worked out and I think a fresh start is needed but I expect us to start next season with Harrison in charge.
