Bolded part sums it up for me today, Sheffield were leagues apart from us in those departments. They looked like a team where the majority of them are full time and for the first time this season I thought we looked like a team that had just met. Our passing has been woeful all season for the most part and we do not have the talent in the team to put the ball where it should be and it makes some players look very bad because of that. For example I can not remember Johnson catching a clean ball today without having to either jump or reach back to take the pass on the other hand he is as guilty because his passing was not the best either but it makes it so easy for the defence when players can not do the basics right.



On the ref I thought it was a game of two halves of two different sets of rules, which must be frustrating for the players. Both teams were horrible at getting onside in the first half but I cant remeber a single penalty for it in the first half yet there must have been about 5 or 6 in the second. It was just a strange performance by the ref.



Not sure where we go from here, same old same old, we are not a team that throws in a surprise win ever now and again. With 2 more loses against Bradford, one against Leigh and with still Sheffield and London to play we are even up against it for even 5th place especially when you throw in games like Dewsbury, Batley and Fev who are all more than capable of beating us. Its a sad day when Im thinking we will do well to finish 6th or 7th.

Probably the most disappointing out of all the losses this season.

We more than matched them in the pack again but lost our way when we got in the final third.

We need to be running more lines asking questions of the defence, just driving it in and wayward passes is why we are not scoring when we get good field position.

The knock-ons in our own 20 when we had the ball which led to 3 try's didn't help, Sam Smeaton gave Taylor a lesson in classic centre play today and Rob just had to walk in.

It would be pointless raking over old coals, I'm sure the BOD realise the mistakes made over the last couple of years. At the end of last season they made a positive decision to appoint RM as head coach, the time as come now to show RM and the fans that they mean to embrace the new era and take steps to challenge the top teams. We need a recruitment drive to bring quality SL standard players to the club for next season, we also need to be full time, failure to do either of these things sends a clear message that we are happy as a mid table side. Attendances will improve I'm sure when we prove we can challenge for honours, they will decline if we remain mid table.

Whether folk read my posts or disagree with my opinions doesn't really bother me,I try to be lighthearted in a lot of my posts,I agree sometimes ridiculous,that's just me.

However I have a fondness for Fax and you Faxers and say it as I see it,I feel as you have said what Fax are facing for the rest of the season is an uphill struggle,your Pack is a decent one , but you lack pace and skill in the 1-7 department where Sheffield are strong, where we played Sheffield at the Keepmoat a couple of weeks ago it could have gone either way , a stray pass allowed us to score late on and the game was over.Anyway just my views hope to see you Faxers a week on Sunday at the LSV,should be cracker.Charlie knows.

So why didn't we sack him as soon as he got done by the rfl. Bizarre that we didnt then let him go at end of season. But then again KH never seemed to like him.
