I agree entirely with your comments re the Pennine League MM.



I wrote a long letter to their secretary after I saw a game at Queens second team last year recounting several unsavoury incidents that I witnessed on that occasion. I haven't even had the courtesy of a reply.



The Pennine League used to consist of teams from Halifax, Huddersfield, Rochdale and Oldham.



Now it's centre of gravity has moved towards Leeds/Wakefield. No local knowledge exists of these teams and the admin of the League is suspect to say the least. I think I'm right in saying that that when Queens etc moved over 15 months ago that it was the Management Committe who endorsed their membership rather than the clubs?



I think that we should write to BARLA and say that we will start a new league based on the old geographical areas. The problem is that a lot of the Lancashire teams like St Annes, Waterhead and Saddleworth have moved their reserve teams over to the North West Counties League where they get a fair crack of the whip.



And as for the Elland lads playing for Heath 3rds....I counted 5 on the pitch with as many watching who expressed an interest in playing as well.



MOM for me though was a certain Damian Ball........

I guested for Heath last season and Bally played, he was outstanding, his mate a certain James Bunyon only lasted 5 minutes

I hear the Ben Black played for them before his pre season commenced at Batley too. Blacky has been telling folks that he's currently having his best ever pre-season with the 'Doggies "it's all hill work" i'm hearing. Welcome to Batley lad

Went to see KXP 1st's at home today,

Blimey the pitch was so bad.

Remember that photo of Fran Cotton at the end of a game, covered in mud.

It was like that.

Credit to both teams, tried to play open Rugby, some big hits, two pretty good 26 men punch ups and Park managed to hold on, a good win.





As I have said before, it doesn't matter at what level League is played, it's a hard game.

Union couldn't live with it.

Good win for your boys mate, a big fat zero counts for a lot in a local derby.
