After the pantomime that's gone on up there in recent months, wouldn't you sign someones that's been living thousands of miles away and out of touch from recent goings on!?

Let's see how he does before we cast scorn on this appointment. It might come back to bite us on the bum if we're not careful.

Just realised that the Barrow's new assistant is Nigel Wright, I work with his brother in law, he's (Nigel) was Jimmy Lowes assistant at Warrington, got offered the york job a year or so ago (when the march's left) but turned it down)

Wright is a top coach and conditioner. He learned his trade is Oz working alongside names likes Brett Kenny and Tim Sheens. If he can get the squad fit (unlike a lot of last season) and we can steer reasonably clear of injuries, then we should be up there in 2011.



As with all new coach announcements it could go either way, but most Barrow fans are more than happy with the Schofield/Wright coaching combination.



Life is never dull as a Barrow fan that's for sure. Roll on 2011. We want our pot back !!

do u know what, i like the fact that life is not dull at barrow, lets face it, far too many things are dull and boring, Des can never be accused of that, and neither wull Schofield.



Yes clubs fans will pour scorne, but as TS said lets see how he goes.



At this level we need pantomime villans like, Schofiled, Aston, Millward, they vertainly know how to court the press and get our game in he headlines, if not always for the right reasons!

Aston acts more like a pantomime Dame sometimes rather than a villain .Also with the wages he will be paying out this year Des at Barrow could very well be playing the part of Baron Stoneybroke next panto season.
