| The Ron Massey is 2nd tier (like Championships) for Sydney feeder clubs. Queensland have a similar comp (Think our League split by region rather than ability).
The Holden Cup (NRL U20's) is higher profile over there so although not 2nd tier is viewed as more prestigious.
Hope this explains thing simply enough. It gets difficult to grasp cos things are done differently over there

I disagree there Rich , what if the next man is an Idiot ?What does that make you ?And answer me this , if a team plays six fixtures twice and the outcome of plural games is times by two , would dlouble points be carried over to the middle eight games , with 4 up and 4 down , which would count as group games .

| as far as I understand the NSW Cup & Queensland Cup are level 2 competitions and the Ron Massey Cup level 3. You can play in both during a season but the Ron Massey is a lower grade and there are eligibility rules preventing (for instance) players who have played most of the season in NSW Cup from dropping to Ron Massey for finals etc, also I don't think top 25 contracted players from the NRL club are allowed to drop further down than NSW Cup (ie they can't play in Ron Massey).

| Quote littlerich="littlerich"So what is the NSW Cup?'"
The NSW Cup was reserve grade but also has the likes of North Sydney Bears that used to be an NRL Club. If you remember the 80's we had:-
Division 1 = NRL
A Team = NSW/Queensland Cup (reserves)
Colts = Holden Cup (U20's)
Division 2 = Ron Massey/Jim Beam/Bundenburg (Feeder clubs)
In the 90's certain sides merged but whereas over here Sheffield & Gateshead started back up in Division 2 (Now Championship) over in Australia North Sydney Bears & Illawara started back up in reserve grade. Also, Sydney Roosters got rid of their reserve grade side and tied up with Newtown whilst I believe Melbourne formed joint venture clubs so they have sides in both NSW/Queensland Cup.
This has blurred the lines as reserve grade over there is now more or less a competition in it's own right so we have no direct comparison especially as we don't have feeder clubs.
Our new players has been playing to Division 2/A Team Division 1 level in 1980's currency

| Well done to the Board he looks a good signing for us and this gets the club some very positive publicity, roll on next season yes it will be tough with 3 full time teams but as long as we are competitive and play some decent rugby the fans will come back.
