He signed for Leigh for 2 years from next season. Fev can't get us into a bidding war I'm afraid RFF as Sam signed a 2 year deal last Sept!! He still has 12 months of that to go!! I'm not in receipt of all the facts but as far as I am aware it's the fact the club got a sniff of his negotiations with Leigh, could have gone to the RFL for an illegal approach but have allegedly used this as a tool to negotiate something else....??!! Fev merely have a player till the end of season as we were going to make him rot in the reserves but felt it better to get the bad egg out along with his agent........ allegedly!!

I've heard that his agent is a real bellend. Rumours about Barlow's move to several SL clubs came out just after he signed for Fax!! He'll ruin Sam.

Has Barlow got the same agent as Tony Clubb?

I cant even remember his last good game for us although I think it might have been about a year ago. Heart bleeds that he is now telling people he didnt want to leave but its a great bit of business by Fax.

Our BoD in a deliberate effort kept upping the offer to Sam last year meaning that he'd either become a rover then (Oct last yr) OR Fax would have to pay top dollar for his services. As it traspired Fax offered him big money and secured his signature. I will leave it to you to judge whether he's been value for money. ,

This "he didn't want to leave " business I'm sceptical of given the texts he's been sending not that that matters a jot like!



He comes to Fev.... he either plays well for us and gets in the team or he doesn't and in a few weeks he'll go back to being the panto villain again!! Rumours are he's Leigh bound next yr and that contract is already signed.



Personally I'm not as over enthused about Sam's arrival as I have been about other re-signs/signings this last few weeks. I think we have enough without his presence! I will yeild to the expertise and savvy of our BoD on this one and just accept they know more than me on this!!

Aye RFF slightly!! However I also know that Sams contract was for considerably less than Fev were branding about when trying to persuade him to sign although it was his agent and your chairman handling the bidding. Where Sam has come undone is agreeing a 2 year deal with Leigh several weeks ago whilst still only 1 yr into a 2 yr deal with Fax. Leigh could have been in trouble but I believe something had been agreed to benefit us.....!!



Sam as much as he has talent needs to take a long hard look at his ethic in training etc and his attitude as he is already 2 thirds of the way up the "if only you'd tried harder" pile. On his day a devastating forward but if he doesn't apply himself properly is a penalty machine who can hide in games as he isn't fit.



Hopefully will prove a decent bit of business but we will miss his aggression, go forward and off load of the Sam we'd like to see each week. We won't miss the other Sam too much.....

Sam is a gamebreaker. The trouble is you dont know whether he will win the game or lose it with a play! A shame because he has all the attributes apart from an apparent lack of concentration and application.
