Quote Brew="Brew"Ive seen a photo before now of a player diving into that corner to score a try, diving into a pool of water, it was probably David Seeds' hoping to score a 10 10 10 for his moves, but thats another story.
Ive also seen photos of the entire pitch under water, which would make the game unplayable, I also remember Haven kicking the ball into the "In goal zone" and it stopping in standing water and a haven player running past it, this can cause the course of the game to change, while it is down to the conditions, is it fair?
I do think though that Haven have lost out on much needed income from a good travelling Halifax Support, would hiring a pump to remove water from that corner before/throughout the match have that much impact on otherwise healthy gate receipts?'"
Good point a pump may have worked plus they should get it sorted, been like this for years now.
I was one of the few that went up to the Kells game their in the CC and we scored in that corner when a kick landed in the snow and melt water and we touched it down.
We went up yesterday and it had been dry all day and a lot warmer than down here with no sign of any snow either!
But those who had gone up Friday said it threw it down on overnight.
It was a quite sunny up there today and I bet it had dried out by 3pm, it certainly looked dry when we drove past around 6pm tonight!
Looks like this game may be a dead rubber as they cannot qualify if they lose at Oldham next week and we will have already if we beat Batley next Sunday.
Its their loss, amateur bunch at Haven.
