Well. As there isn't any particular dialogue from the board, to us £20 a pop fan, one can only speculate.



Now, what to do with that spare £20?

As I understand it, kit to the value of £15000 was supplied to the club by 1HX Sport at no cost to the club. So while no cash changes hands, the club receives goods instead. That is the basis of the agreement between the parties.



To my mind that is a lot of money that the club does not have to find every year, but like any business it has to be recouped from somewhere. I would speculate that 1HX do not make much, if any profit, probably having to sell circa 600 adult replica shirts every year to cover the cost of the kit provided to the club.



And who is to cover the cost of any unsold items in the shop at the end of the season?? I bet the club don't!!

1HX sports has only one director Mr Ian Croad. Who is also a long standing director of the club and I believe a specialist in textiles/clothing.



The accounts as at 31/10/15 show an accumulated loss of £21,512, up from £17,034 the previous year.



So unless Mr Croad, or someone else is being paid a large amount from the company it doesn't look like a money making operation. However with the abridged accounts it is impossible to understand turnover and how much it pays, to who, for its clothing and any margins made on production of clothes.



Nonetheless, it is once again a case of "best guess" without formal information.

They're abbreviated accounts, not abridged. Abridged accounts are very new and few companies, if any, will have filed them yet.



Also, as Dbvada says, the losses are cumulative, so this year's loss is the difference between £21512 and £17034 - or just under £4500 for those without calculators to hand.



Previous year's loss was around £11500.

Well one thing is for sure, they won't be getting anything from the sale of Dane Manning shirts.

Had a few hiccups in relation to him being our player but thankfully now sorted and will formally become our player today on a 2 year contract. We are delighted now with our 29 man squad. Was finished at 28 players really but when chance to sign such a quality player from a big rival came had to push boat out and get him back where he belongs!!

I have no problem with Batley having their turn to have some money and go for their dream etc.- they earnt it last season. We had our chance previously- it's now their turn. Dane will be a massive plus for them and on paper their squad looks strong and also bolstered by Cas DR etc. Time will tell. Back to basics for us Fax fans. History shows there is no coincidence our most successful times have been when there has been little or no expectation on the team. Time will tell on that one as well.

12 months ago we were all saying how wonderful it was to have the extra money and the difference it would make having a bigger squad.
