That was a proper game of RL today, battles all over the park and effort for all to see, good luck to Leigh.

Crikey those burgers are foul though... im gonna send Ramsey to sort em out, been puking when i got back.

Am not saying we have the best defence, it has what has let us down in the last few weeks. But today was the best part of our game and was the reason why we won the game.

I dont think we should read too much in to our defence. Leigh look like they would struggle to break out of a paper bag. Worst attacking team ive seen this season. On the other hand we did show a bit of grit and managed to eek out a win which is great. Wasnt too happy we went for the drop goal at the end with 2 tackles left and a chance to take away the bonus point, thought that was a bit soft. But anyway a win is a win and its being a long time coming.

Remember that the company who do the catering at Leigh are the ones who have been given the contract for the new East Stand!!!!



As for the game, leigh were hard & tried to the end, I personally think that winning a game like this were we must have only completed about 3 sets in the whole of the 1st half,will do the players more good than if we'd have won by 60+ points as that may have made people think that we had improved & nothing else was required.



It was great to see the team spirit back, players going across the pitch to congratulate Rob for great defence etc. Keep it up.

Don't get me wrong i really like the ground...a really nice sized place to watch rugby....just a bit expensive! and i really don't like the ticketing systems!

It's not doing Saints much good, at the moment though, eh?

My lad and I were stood near the salmon-army and our barmy army. About 5 mins from end things were being thrown at us. We moved away when my son was hit in the neck - it was only a choccie bar but that's not the point.

I nipped for a pee when the announced the start would be delayed & could see the that turnstyles were completely empty apart from the staff. Tghe problem must have been at the ticketing office where they only had 3 windows for probably 1500 fans!

why didn't they open the away end, Fax have a good away following and tension from Leigh fans was expected?



not as if they hadn't enough stewards!

We did today.



Our defence today was much improved, we had countless sets of six on our line and they scored a lot less times than they should have done with the likes of McConnell at dummy half.



A win is what we needed today, any sort of win would have sufficed and it is what we got. Gleeson was absolutely outstanding. Penkywicz had a good game I thought as well, especially when he moved back to his ONLY position of dummy half. I thought Maloney and Bannister had their best games for us as well as Dana Wilson who worked his socks off even though he picked up a knock early on.

Chuffed to bits that we've got back to winning ways. Thought the defence was magnificent today - how many sets did they have in our 20 in that second half? The players showed tremendous grit and determination to keep out a team fighting for their lives. Was pleased that Leigh picked up a bonus point as they didn't deserve to leave empty handed. Nice ground and facilities although thought it lacked a bit of atmosphere in my opinion.



Rob Worrincy did well to get 3 tries and he also pulled off a cracking try saving tackle. I thought Dom Maloney was outstanding and his workrate's awesome - he was taking 2 drives a set at times. I also thought Shad had a great game.



Hopefully this win will turn the season around and give the players some confidence.
