Those odds are from Skybet and therefore pretty irrelevant, nobody with half a clue will be able to get a significant bet on with them especially in a niche market such as Championship rugby league, and they were probably scribbled down in 5 minutes on the back of a cigarette packet. There are several other anomalies in that list - Halifax should be 3rd favs, London are much too short, and there's no way Batley or Workington should be double the price of the two promoted teams (not that I'm interested in backing either, just the 2 teams coming up should be even bigger prices).

I think what these forums often highlight is that with next to no coverage on TV fans tend to judge opposing players soley on what they do against their own team. For the record, Will Sharp scored both Fev's tries in the 2014 Grand Final (both brilliantly taken), but he's mostly been in a well beaten team since when playing Leigh and players tend not to shine in those situations - I can remember the likes of McNally and Brierley looking out of their depth against Fev a couple of years back too. Sharp's body of work arguably makes him the best wing in the league over the last three years. Gaz Moore has blown hot and cold over recent years but played some of his better games for Fev against Fax so it's no surprise to see him heading there (& you could say the same about Thackeray playing well against Fev for Dewsbury for that matter).

Good afternoon Mr Hall , hope you are well?I'm not being cocky ,I'm always wary of every team last season I forecast a defeat for Leigh in the League I didn't know where it would happen but said it would, and it will happen again.I agree in no way are we a 9-2 on shot,that's a very bad price, however I don't make the Book,and picking who will take Top spot of us , you would be a very brave man.As for Fax I can see why Fax fans are very optimistic for next season , but teams will be wary of you next season, m see 4th spot for you .

Probably because our already improving team is good enough to finish in the top 4 as it is. Let Bradford and Leigh blow their wad and come the qualifiers which team will be the one with the cash to splash?

Leigh, Bradford, Sheff, maybe Fax,depends on how London fare,I will again be entering the Fax Fantasy League Comp.As for Will Sharp?I'm not that impressed by him my best wingers in the Comp, Kay and Worrincy,the Worrier would get plenty tries in the Leigh team.

as for blowing cash?As you know Derek B has already spent a fair few quid , but he stated on Tuesday night another signing was on the cards yet, and also 2 more players would be leaving the Club , so maybe come the middle 8s next year Derek will have an ace or 2 up his sleeve to add to our already impressive squad, apparently our season ticket sales are going very very well.As for Fax?I just feel RM has set his sights a bit low with the new signings, Grix has plenty to prove, Smeaton not the player he was, Sharp has speed but lacks size and presence, and Gaz Moore?Enough said, I'm not a fan,just my opinion, anyway good luck for next season.I will invest Mr Jaggers 100 pound wisely.
