Funny, I thought it was one of his poorer games. But he has had a great season once more and I know he'll be back to his usual self on Saturday.
You're right abuot Maloney though, doesn't stop working.

Unfortunately you get that at all grounds .... always have, always will. I've encountered really rough gets at Cas, Warrington, Barrow, Oldham, Hull, Hull KR, Leeds, Bradford, Salford, St Helens, Fev (god they're 'orrible) and probably the worst at Widnes at the Old Naughton Park ground where they used to get chavs sneaking in free and generally being a pain in the ass. Violence seen twice against Hull KR, several times against Hull (must be in the water over there) and Saints. Oh and Cas and Fev of course. I've always wondered why there hasn't been full blown scraps at RL matches sometimes, but I suppose we've had brick throwing at the Hull derby not to mention the post pulling by the Hull fans at Huddersfield, and the pitch scrapping at .... errrrr ... an Hull derby.

| The ground itself is excellent but, as said by everyone else, the ticketing was rubbish. The woman at 1 window was selling tickets for the seats to Fax fans and the woman at another window selling tickets for standing, hence we were all split up. I actually liked the drummers though, especially as you could hear them as you approached the stadium.
£1.40 for a [inearly [/ifull half glass of lemonade was a bit pricey as was £2.70 for a pie. Also, I bought a bottled drink and could keep the top on yet the 3 year old with us had to take his bottle top off !
The atmosphere in the North stand was awful, no banter at all. 1 older bloke (yes, you with the old style shirt with #6 on) told one of the lads off for swearing, saying he would get him thrown out, just as about 1,500 Leigh fans were calling the ref a W****R.
Apart from the result I didn't really enjoy today. Hope Leigh go down !
Rant over.

How on earth can you hope Leigh go down? we have our own issues with a hapless stadium manager we can`t blame the club for that.
Leigh has given lots of players to the game of rugby League I would rather lose Gateshead than a heartland club any day.

Because I do and I can only say it as I see it.
Never really been narked after an away game (last time being when Hull fans egged our coach a few years back) but it was just not a good feeling at Leigh today.

| not an overall enjoyable experience to be honest!
the leigh ground is nice enough, but the ticketing system is ridiculus!!!
almost laughable..3 people selling tickets to 2000plus people in 30minutes doesnt work! hence the delayed ko... god help them if they ever get a big crowd in!
maloney was best on park today in a hard fought game....thought the ref was pretty shocking for both teams......as for deserving the points.....we did
defence was brilliant in the second half...and by the looks we may just be turning a massive corner!
big up rob worrincy! 3trys and some try savers in defence...still need to learn how to protect the ball. but your getting there. well done!
COME ON FAX!!!!!

We've had crowds of over 7,000 and just short of 5,000 without any problem

| Switched on my PC to check the score this morning and at first was a little disappointed with the score, expecting a trouncing. Then reality set in.
If we had won at a canter it would probably have been another false dawn as per the Tolouse game. Being made to work for the points can only be good for the team at this stage of the season and hopefully they can build on this next saturday.
Well done to Matt and the team for what sounded like a tough game and lets get some momentum for the remaining games.

Half that crowd had season tickets, or bought them in advance and, as Leyther Matt says, we had almost 7000 against W***n without a queuing problem. That tends to occur when everyone turns up at the last minute.
Nevertheless, most Leigh fans would echo your complaint - I will bring it to the attention of the Club and see if they can exert some influence on the stadium owners. By the way, I think the situation is worse, when it pours down - the tickets should be sold under a stand, like they now are (I believe) at Widnes.
Good luck in the play offs - your lads just have to believe they are the best by a country mile!

That is how they are sold at widnes and seems to work fine, just seems to be quicker, it probably doesn't help that the ticket staff oculdn't hear what you were saying and didn't look particularly rushed

Presumably you mean the 'country mile' quote? These things tend to come back and bite you! But, at the time he was right and I honestly think you are the best team in this league - if you can get back the confidence and swagger you had, early in the season. Yesterday may just prove the springboard you need to do that!
I wish we'd beaten you yesterday, but have no problem being beaten by a good footballing team. I really do hope you go on to win the GF. Good luck.
