I have coloured in red those I'm unsure about. The Chase to Hull rumours won't go away, I think Mathers will stop at Wakey and I don't know what will happen with Nash and Mitchell. So potentially a squad of 19 to 23 with an additional 4 or 5 youngsters to make the numbers up (up to now).

Disagree, the fact that we have 3 centres, 2 of international pedigree is a total step up compared to last year.

I was going to say that we are stronger in some areas but overall I just think that its not quite as good.



I think that we have brought in some decent players but lets not forget we have lost amongst others Orr, Ferres, Youngquest and McGoldrick who have been our match winners in previous times. We may well now have new matchwinners but I think we could be a little bit short of where we need to be to really kick on into playoff contention.



Just my opinion and I can see why others would disagree.

Well i hope at least one of the players in the red goes, that being mitchell he is Woeful. Steve Gash needs to do one too. How these players get contracts is beyond me..

Not saying we'll be in the play offs but I'm confident that we'll be a damn sight better next season. Chase has missed roughly 1/3 of league games this season, Ellis will provide a better kicking game then Danny, I think Millo will go better next year as he will have a pre-season under his belt, Gilmour a better version of Stuey Jones, Wellar an out & out replacement for Ferres, some good some bad, & JC the obvious like for like for NY, although obviously a bit of an unknown quantity due to injuries.

Added in some extra positions for people. Add in two more signings and we've got the makings of a decent squad.

If Basil can get the two NRL forwards he's after and a utility back to replace Mathers then I think we'll have a far more competitive squad than 2012. Maybe also sign Mitchell for numbers.

I'd rather us sign Phil Mitchell for next season then sign Lee. His mate from Wire would be a good signing to add depth to the wing.

Williams would be a good signing. I've heard Bulls are looking at him. Has he been made available by Wire ?

I think hs contract expires this season and he was not offered / turned down (not sure which) a new deal. Apart from the Wakefield game, he went very well for Cas and I'd like to think we'd be in for him if he was available. A back line of Owen, Williams, Shenton, Webster, Carney looks top eight material.

Owen is a turnstile in defence , you need intelligent players in key position i'm not even sure i want him in the first 13.
