As a neutral looking in I hope you get a new stadium soon. The problem I see is that if a supermarket is build elsewhere in Cas, then one will not get build at Wheldon Road aswell. I hope I am wrong though.

Well if it is round the corner it would be our first , and can you imagine all the man love on the wakey board if it happened, it would almost make it worthwhile just to see the group tug on Westgate

Can someone please clarify the current situation, my impression was that late Feb the food people were to hold a board meeting and then RW would announce the good news( Taken i believe from what RW said at the meet the directors do).



So unless im mistaken its now the 20th March and no news ??

That was also the impression I got from the CTSC Meet the Directors night. But as you say, it's not the end of February any more...

Could the announcement of a third supermarket site have anything to do with the latest delay in an update of whats happening with the stadium plans ?

I think thats a safe assumption. The operators interested in building in Castleford will review every site in depth before making a decision and if rumours are correct in addition to the three sites already vying for a supermarket theres another two possibles that have come forward along with another supermarket to the one widely mentioned and using an alternative developer to Opus. So everything gets delayed that little bit more while everyone jostles for postion.



FWIW I think Opus are still in prime postion and an operator will sign up within the next couple of months. Whether a rival signs up elsewhere with another developer or just walks away remains to be seen.

Think the Board Meeting is still the issue.
