I think we need to get this straight - Castleford whilst in the Metropolitan District of Wakefield and also coming under the Council of WMDC is by no means geographically part of the Wakefield area.

Castleford is part of the [size=1505 towns area [/size- not Wakefield or even Wakefield City as some people give it its "new" name.

Thats just not true, Castleford was abosrbed in to the City of Wakefield when the county borough of Wakefield merged with the West Riding municipal borough of Castleford (among other places) to create the City of Wakefield as per the local government act of 1972 confirmed by the cities letters patent in 1974
