Now getting beyond a joke



Is our discpline that bad, or is there an agenda against us?

it's pretty bad.

Players ego's are bigger than their ability - this leads to frustration and the belief that they are 'allowed' to do and say what they want.



Smith, JJB and Ablett are 3 of the worst.

Bit of both. Ok not an 'agenda' against Leeds but I think we are often hard done by, just listening to Sinfield in the post-match interview on Sky showed his frustration at the inconsisten refereeing. I think a lot of the problem is we try to get clever penalties, ie running quickly from dummy half at non-square markers. We rarely get the penalties we deserve from these actions and this frustrates the players.

It's pathetic, Like Kevin Sinfield said the back chatting is something they have to improve on themselves but i agree with him when he said we seem to be getting punished for certain things where other teams seem to be not getting be pulled up on...

Carl Ablett is basically a Penalty Machine & A Gobe...

We normally deserve to be on the wrong end of it, but tonight the count was skewed a bit IMO. Carl Ablett got penalised for dissent, when all he was guilty of was laughing to himself! (admittedly the first time he deserved it)

At one point it was 10-1. Some of the penalties were so dumb as to begger belief (no way Ganson couldn't give some penalties), others were so bizarre they were unbelieveable also - Ablett marched 10 meters for laughing apparantly. Even the touch judge decided to come on and make a wrong decision.

In the end though, Leeds made so many mistakes they couldn't get any momentum or flow. Only our attacking skill and fitness (which looks excellent at the moment) saved us.



Ganson may be a total T@, but he doesn't miss tackles and he doesn't drop passes (although I wish he'd get in the way of Kylie on the charge just once).

To be fair to Ganson, it's difficult to pinpoint many he got wrong, Leeds discipline is v poor.



Leeds wouldn't have been in a position to win the game had Ganson spotted another infringement (Kylie's blatant ball steal).



Cracking game though and congrats, never say die stuff - great to watch.

Still think we arent as bad as been painted, the one when peacock supposedly stuck his foot out and penalised us is one that immediately springs to mind and a couple of knock ons which he penalised for ball steals thought were wrong calls.



I know we need referees but i dont know of any good ones!

Why was Burgess penalised for actually attempting to complete a tackle?

Why was Senior penalised for a high tackle?

Why did Ganson allow the Wakefiled defenders to carry Ablett off the ground into touch then penalise Leeds moments later (admittedly the dumbest play I've seen from Leeds all year)?

Why was Ablett penalised for obstruction (you normally have to blatantly flatten a kick chaser)?

Forward pass to Hall in the first half when he was clean away - flat pass but Ganson blew every time the crowd asked?



There were plenty he got wrong, but as I've said on other posts, that doesn't excuse a 50% completion ratio and some fairly ordinary kick defence.

You can see why the team gets frustrated with so many inconsistancies(sp) like you have pointed out.
