| At his own request. Best for all parties. Reckon he'll either plod along at some middle SL club, or see a career spiral down.

| Wish him all the best i thought/think he has enough to be a decent 9 and certainly had the best DH distribution at Leeds with a very good kicking game.
Of course he had things to work on like defence & not always reading the 5th tackle plays plus his 80 minute fitness wasnt up to scratch but he was creative and i wouldn't be surprised to see him at a good club.

| For whatever reason I think he just didn't get along with BMcD - wish him all the best.
Now with the No.9 shirt vacant I really hope the the Aiton rumours aren't true and that GH has a top draw hooker up his sleeve... although I really doubt it and we'll get some spin about how we've been after Aiton for some time now and when the opportunity to sign him came up we had to jump at it quickly as there were several other (un-named) top SL clubs bidding for his signature.
It's been some time now since we've announced a signing that has made me feel a bit giddy and I get the feeling that next year will be exactly the same. Briscoe is without a doubt a great signing but did we really need him? ... not enough to get my juices flowing.

| Interesting to see what Peter Smith is saying on Twitter. According to him McDermott wants a 9 that passes well and is a tough defender. Is Aiton that man?

| I don't get how people say McShane never got a fair chance at Leeds.
63 appearances, over five seasons, under two different coaches and still wasn't able to do enough to command a regular first team place.
That he wasn't able to convert his opportunities into more is his problem.
No doubt he'll end up at a bottom half SL club where he'll plod along for a while.

Agree 100%, he had many a chance to impress, but he didn't.

| The curse of Buderus
Both his protégés released whilst under contract and with no fee coming in for them.... Which seems the Leeds way recently.
Should have pushed the boat out to get Lunt when we had a more than realistic chance

| I did tell you on here about four years (it maybe five) that McShane would never make it. Then there was the other one, Kettlewell.
I see he is ripping it up as well.

Defensively yes, he is solid, hits hard and has a high work rate. He's also got a good engine and is quick out of dummy half but his distribution is probably his weakest suit and is ok at best.
