Yet again Ken Bates is showing he has no desire to reach the Premier League and is happy to simply have a nice profit making championship side that sells all it's best players.



Can't blame Jonny Howson - the club clearly has no ambition and if Bradley Johnson can cut it in the premier league then he must fancy his chances.

Leeds offered howson a contract 12 months back. He has always refused it. Much as I detest bates Grayson is the problem. He has money to spend but prefers loans.

He is tactically inept and most players detest him for his disgusting treatment of andy obrien.

I won't mention obriens problems on here, suffice to say it's obvious the players want Grayson out.



And most on here wanted Johnson and howson out and thought they were useless, so don't start lauding them now

While I don't think Grayson is perfect I don't go with the scapegoating - it's exactly what Bates wants. How do we know that Grayson has money available?



Howson has refused a contract because the club lacks ambition - can't argue with that.



As for the Howson knocking - I never went with that, he's one of the few quality players that we have.



Johnson I thought was too inconsistent but he seems to be doing all right at Norwich. I wasn't praising Johnson - I was saying that if he's good enough for the PL then Howson has every right to think he will be too.

Truth is Leeds are in transition with a squad full of loan players and are simply not good enough for the PL. It makes much more sense to stick in the Championship for a time, build a squad of players who want to play for the club regardless, then launch an attack on the PL from a stable footing.



OR, we could overspend, get over ambitious and ... oh, hang on a minute...

Bates is the saviour of LUFC, if it was not for him there would be no LUFC.



Howson on the other hand is so overated its untrue, therefore 2 million is a good bit of business for someone who is out of contract in May and would not be fit to play until the middle of March

Howson has ambitions to play in the premier league. Does he not think his team mates, the men he captained, share those ambitions? however, this is football where nothing is built, nothing is worked for and nothing is earned. Everything is bought.



So Howson can realise his ambitions in an instant. Norwich can realise theirs in an instant.



Forgive me if I am mistaken but hasn't Howson been a player in the team that has failed to reach the premier league? He couldn't get himself and his team mates there on merit so he awaits free agency to jump ship at the first opportunity. Leeds of course, knew what was coming so cashed in, after all, this is football and that transfer fee is more important than what happens on the pitch the rest of this season, club captain or not.



Football is morally bankrupt and a huge turn off.
