Whatever the truth about Brierley's contract, if he ends up with us I hope he plays a f*** of a sight better than he is currently.

Well with the main half back out today was a big chance for breirley. Resigned myself to the fact we are gonna get stuck with him, so watched him more closely. He has failed to lead this team around the park at championship level. Can't see why we would want him. Mags and sutcliffe for next few years then sutty and liley. Don't see where Breirley would fit in

The gulf between the divisions is huge. It's even bigger playing in the technical positions.



I mean, look at Lee Gaskell. Not good enough for Saints (a decision I'm still a little annoyed about). Arrives at Bradford and he's tearing that league to pieces.

I think Gaskell was always going to be a quality player. He's suffered because he's spent the last few years being shuffled around in different positions. He was always a half back and now he's getting the first run in the halves since his first his first couple of seasons at Saints where he looked a great prospect, and you can see he's a class above the level he's currently at.

I'd much rather have him than Brierley, to be honest, although he reminds me in many ways to Sutcliffe.

McGuire didn't organise or lead teams around the park till he was about 30! fair enough he had sinfield to do that but i'm guessing Sutcliffe will do the organising

At a guess I would say sutty will take that role eventually. Unless Breirley is cheap ( which I doubt) haven't seen anything that would make me want him here

really? I suggest you keep looking then. he's been exceptional. in the 8's he's played behind a beaten pack, often with players binned or sent off. I think he'll be brilliant playing with better players

He's been ok in a team far above anything else in the division. When he has played better teams he hasn't done anything. I don't think he is anything better than what we already have.

He's also confirmed on Twitter that he'll be at Leigh next season.
