Its the old "everybody hates leeds" situation,nobody voted for leeds players or very few anyway, hes unfortunate that he plays for such a successful club, and we will be hated even more no we won it from fifth.



Bur Sir Kev is well worth the accolade of " Man of Steel", how he is not compared in the same light as Rangi "Im now english coz i cant get in the kiwi side" is beyond belief, just what will it take for this great to be recognised by his peers, trying not to look through the green glasses of course.



Waht did rangi do that was outstanding this year, score a great try in the semi, i have not seen enough of him live but what i have seen of him on sky this season, he couldnt lace the great ones boots.

Sir Kevin hasn't had the greatest season by his high standards, and given that the award is voted for before the Grand Final, he was never really in the running. 2005 was another story...



Rangi Chase trailed off a bit at the end of the season, but he was a one man army for the first half of the season.



I'd probably still have gone for Tomkins or Roby mind you, but this was not Sir Kevin's year.

To be honest,



I don't think he's that bothered by awards and accolades.



Aside from of course his:

2 League Leaders Shields

2 World Club Challenge Medals

His Harry Sunderland Award

His Lance Todd Trophy

5 Super League Grand Final Winner's rings

4 Super League Dream Team Appearances

His Rhinos Player of the Year Award

Oh, and Super League's record points scorer award.



Other than that, he can take or leave awards really.

I'm getting a big "In Sir Kev We Trust" flag made for next season, only problem being we're struggling to get a decent photo to turn into the print of him. Anyone reckon the club would help if I asked them?

I think more of a big deal needs to be made about sinfield at games, we need some banners and more songs for him. He should be treated like a god, like cunningham at saints or dalglish at liverpool.

Given all the deserved praise for Kevin Sinfield on this thread. I have to remind you all that there were only 4000 plus at his testimonial a few years ago! Very poor! He deserved more.



IMO KS is one of the best players to have ever played for Leeds.

Kev's well deserving of the Freedom of Leeds and an OBE, CBE or MBE but not a Knighthood!

Well I'd be amazed if he turned one down, and if he did I doubt we'd get to know!

All these player autobiographie's coming out and selling quite well .I wonder if Kev has already started his?waiting to finish it off and publish at the end of his great career.I think that would outsell any recent ones .
