Sky & SL were tired after just 1 Leeds v Saints Grand Final? Since the current playoff system was decided midway through 2008 season for the franchise system starting in 2009.
The system was changed to accommodate a top 8 playoff system instead of top 6 and had nothing to do with repeated Leeds v Saints Grand Finals which hadn't actually happened by that point. |
