We beat Widnes in the final the season before. In 84/5 after Sheffield Leeds beat Wigan at Headingley (John Holmes/Tony Currie), then accounted for Bramley in the quarters before going down to Hull at a snow bound Boothferry Park in the semi. |

Didn't he used to kick the goals 'torpedo' style, with the ball laying almost flat to the ground (rather than on its point like most other kickers) and connected with the 'end' of the ball to get it over the posts ? |
