| Very poor display especially in the second half.
Having said that Huddersfield played with more desire and a will to win.
Brough as usual ran the show and proves what an ageing half back can do if you have the skill set to do it.
Unfortunately McGuire no longer has that skill.
Those who are saying we will struggle without Hall and Watkins could be right but from last night`s showing neither offered anything in attack.
Moon and Handley as their replacements might offer more maybe.
Personally I would go with Lilley and Moon at HB but that is not going to happen.
If Walker continues playing well maybe Golding to HB simply for his pace which Mags no longer has.
As for the bench last night what was that about?
We needed Burrow on well before the 70 minute mark and we needed to spell one or two of our forwards and Mullalley should have been brought on to do that.
Singleton for me does one or two good things then goes into hiding.
Hopefully a blip that will give us the kick up the backside we need.

| Quote McGuireofrEngland="McGuireofrEngland"Seriously, its fans lie you that make me want to smash heads. Leeds win - the opposition are rubbish, Leeds lose - its Mac or Mags fault. If Mags try was allowed (which it would have been in a non televised game) we would have smashed them. We were not very good but it is not Mags fault, or Macs.
All 17 players let the team down. What did Kallum bring? or Galloway, or Bingo? etc etc. Kicking has never been one of Mags assets so why should it be now? We were beaten by the better team on the night aided by some dodgy ref calls, inc one of their tries.
We support them no matter what. If you don't like it then mickey off and support a team that wins every week. Good luck with that.....'"
First of all if people with different opinions to you make you want to start physically assaulting others I'd get yourself checked in; you're clearly a danger to society.
I would suggest a lack of direction and a diabolical kicking game is the fault of the half backs. Kicking should be one of McGuire's assets as he has been a professional RL player for over 15 years but he hasn't improved that area of his game in the slightest, Brough showed how important a decent kicking game is by dragging a poor Huddersfield team over the finishing line.
We were awful as a team last night but Delaney, Hall, Galloway, Garbutt, Parcell and Walker put the effort in and came out of that game with some credit.
I'm quite happy to keep having my own opinions on how we are playing and how to improve the team, if you don't like it then find a team where all the supporters are spoon fed what to think and say. Good luck with that.

| On a positive I thought Walker looked real class - that is a player for the future.
If it were me I would play him at FB, Golding in the halves and Moon back to the centre - stick with it.

Are you saying top tackler JJB did not put the same effort in?

You cannot knock the effort JJB makes, the application is the issue - the number of dumb penalties he gives away is criminal for a senior professional and last night was no exception.

This is exactly spot on. It is wasted energy. Someone putting in the work rate that guy does, should be contiributing more to the team performance from a positive level not a negative. He was poor last night, despite his top top effort in work rate. His missed tackles alone was a contributing factor to the defeat.

As Sal and Gotcha put JJB did put a lot of effort in but he was shooting out of the line leaving space for Huddersfield to take advantage of. He was also pushing the line at the play the ball which is a dangerous game when you have a whistle happy ref.

| It is a good job Leeds had an easy week the CC week - it could have been even more embarrassing if they had a hard SL game the week previous (sic)

| Both teams were poor for mine. The difference was Hudds played and dealt with the conditions better and looked like it mattered to them. With a few exceptions we looked like we couldn't be ar$ed for large portions of the game, especially in the second 40. We could also do with a tactical kicker with the talent and vision of ET.

It's a good job we throw in these kind of performances/results now and again otherwise some people wouldn't be able to tell us how cr@p the club is and how we have been papering over the cracks for over a decade. Gives them false hope that they might be correct before we end up picking up silverware again and making them look silly
