If you look at other boards you will find that fans other that pie eaters have questioned whether or not he, Sir Kevin, is indeed "The best player in the world". And I see few people questioning his ability as a player, far from it, just questioning whether he is the best player in the world.



Incidentally, i did not think Farrell was the best in the world when he won it, or that Tomkins was deserving of the MOS last season, just before you accuse me of the bias that you so obviously possess.

You're English I assume? Why not just enjoy and accept the fact that independent arbiters have named the England Captain as the best player in the world. It is so rarely awarded to an English man why question it? Isn't it exactly that kind of parochial, self depreciating negativity from English Rugby League fans that holds our game back?

In the (admittedly improbable) scenario that Sean O'Loughlin led Wigan to 6 titles, I'd hope that most on here would bring themselves to acknowledge his feat and applaud if he were to be awarded the golden boot.

The main criteria for Sinfield getting the Golden boot was for performances at club and international level throughout 2012 wasn't it?if not the golden boot would be awarded every 10 years

What I meant was that were any player to lead a team to what Kev has I'd hope that our lot would acknowledge the feat and be big enough to applaud the subsequent awarding of a golden boot, regardless of whether or not they felt him to have been the best player in that particular year - always a subjective issuein any case.

Know what you mean,but some of em now are intimating that all our previous 4 SL wins are down to us not being really the best team either
