I don't necessarily disagree with you, BTW, but those stats aren't always the best indicator. If someone runs at you, you have to tackle them. You don't necessarily go looking for tackles to make. You do, however, look for the ball to take to the difence. or you don't, in the case of Kirke. ^ carrioes again this week.



WRT to the anti Burrow faction I recall a home game with London three or four years ago where he received a rash of criticism on here from many of the usual suspects. TVOC was repoducing the Opta stats in those dates and they came out to show a record for try assists on the part of the wee-man. Bizarre.

Whilst he hasnt had his most prolific season try scoring wise,and that is mainly due to feeding off scraps for many games this year,hall brings so much more to the table.he always looks for work,sucks in three defenders and always seems find his front even when matched against forwards creating a quick play the ball.he is the complete package.

I hear what you're saying and I fully agree with his usual PP number of carries per game. But I am sure his main role to defend around the ruck and I thought on this occassion he was quite active in the heat for a big man. His 27 tackles and 6 carries were made in 39 minutes so there was little time to make more carries to be fair.







The ABF (Anti-Burrow Faction) spokesmen say he only runs sideways and 'down blind alleys' and can only miskick off the outsides of his boots...... yet he made 124 metres forwards (similar to BJB) 22 carries, 2 clean breaks, 4 tackle busts, 3 attacking kicks (one of which led to JP's try) 8 tackles and one offload. He was a constant threat and created space for his team mates. Yes he did make two handling errors but that happens in sport. As you say Bizarre

IIRC he was also the first player in SL this season to break the 3,000m gained barrier...

JP more than 300 m more gained than any other forward.he has to be in the frame for MOS he has carried our pack at times this year.

Give him the award now! Those numbers are obscene, especially considering he missed a handful of games as well.
