He is the consummate professional. Always gives 100%. Ok he has no pace but so what. Was at the game yesterday and thought the problems at half back were down to Chase. I thought the game changer was Sinfields second half kick off. Pure Genius.



And yes I am a HKR fan.

....and tough as nails. His concussion was a bad one yesterday when you saw the "whiplash" but, like the 2012 Grand Final, he dusted himself off and carried on.

The craziest thing for me is the fact that the stuff Sinfield does well - organizing and moving the team around - ought to be the most basic of any halfback's skills and yet are almost non-existent in so many.



If there's one thing to almost guarantee a halfback will never be really great, it seems to be when they're described as having a great running game when young.

I question this "no pace" assertion.



OK he is not Tomkins but over the vital 5 first yards he is OK. Check out the try assist.



Also his mental pace. Check out him directing Burgess where to run for his try.

His speed of thought is as quick as anyone's I have ever seen. His ability to instantly assess a situation & react to it is incredible, especially following a mistake by the opposition beofre the ref blows.

One such on Saturday IIRC that put Tomkins away and got England moving forward after a Fijian knock on near the England line.



The one that stands out for me though was I think at the KC. Turned and fielded a grubber in behind him, before flipping it up to an onrushing BJB who went the rest of the way for a score.

Hard head, but it was his balls of steel that really impressed me in that game.

Worlds best player, he has the certificate.
