3 of those 5 tries took some scoring as well. The first one, granted from a HKR viewpoint some of those grabs at Briscoe were pitiful but he still had plenty to do when he got the ball.
The 2nd one (the 90m try) he did very well to finish. Sio is a big lad and I thought he might be able to tackle him and they slide out of touch with the slick ground but Briscoe braces himself great and doesn't end up being moved sideways at all on contact.
The 5th one is my favourite, he just dances through the defence. |

Briscoe's final try reminded me of John Atkisnon's in 1978 on the opposite flank.
I'm surprised Peacock got so few Lance Todd votes. I know you have no option but to give it to a lad who scores 5 tries but Peacock was the best player on that pitch, IMO.
Watkins was also very good, setting up a number of tries.

Think Rovers deserve some credit too. I think some teams would have displayed a fair degree of grubbiness under similar circumstances. Good luck in the 8s, not that you'll need it. |

Think what probably cost Watkins votes for the Lance Todd was that he played his best stuff when the game was effectively over and Rovers were running on empty. Wasn't quite as impressive in the first 50 minutes as he was in the last 30. |
