At least its an insight to why he is a bad coach he probably says it every week and plays people even ones out of form so it does not upset them. Its a bit like my under 9s team when someone says its not about winning its the taking part, like fook. I would prefer the winning mentality as young as possible not that i am allowed to preach that like . Wonder if other countries practice this shi t too or is it just our pc mad one.

There's nothing wrong in wanting to win, as long as the approach is right, ie the lesser developed players are equally involved as the bigger, faster, stronger ones, they are encouraged to understand game structure and arent shouted and balled at by the coach when things dont go well. Too many coaches at junior level are hell bent on winning (mainly for their own ego) that's it's at a detriment to the skill development of ALL players, putting the biggest lad over the line time and again isn't coaching. That's the real issue. |

He's obviously trying for the TS style 'performance over result every time' but didn't quite convey it as well as he could have done. Not worth getting your knickers in a twist over.
The bigger problem is that he seems incapable of spotting a good performance in the first place, and the results aren't coming either.

We're the extreme, with our focus on winning junior games rather than trying to develop players. PC has nothing to do with it. |
