Yes that team finished 5th in the qualifying competition but finished in 1st place in the big one to decide the Champions. They were only just pipped into 2nd place in the Cup.
So that is why Leeds are the number ONE team this year. |

Personally I would rather have Ablett than Wilkin, what I am suggesting is that given where our coach has laid his cards he obviously prefers what Wilkin offers over that of Ablett. Both offer a good option at second row, with versatility to play in the backs if required. Wilkin has the advantage of more test experience (and losing GFs) |

There is one area where Wilkin is far superior to Ablett. That area is whining. When the TV cameras went into the Saints changing rooms in '09 at half time during the third consecutive Grand Ffinal they lost to us he whined, when Bailey was celebrating to the Leeds fans after Leeds beat them for the 4th time in this years Grand Final, he whined.
When Ablett had his face rearranged at Huddersfield, he didn't make any mention of it.
One of them is a whiny bitch, and the other is a tough competitor. I know which is needed against the Aussies and Kiwis.
Someone recently described Jon Wilkin to me as "Diet Kevin Sinfield", I think that's hard on Kevin Sinfield...
