| TBF Rogues is one of the better posters from Wigan, from what I see. It's also difficult to suggest that Wigan bought the trophies when we were just as bad but not as successful. During their successful spell, Wigan always had a good core of local lads and British players whereas I remember Leeds playing with 10/12 Aussies in their 15 man squad.

The post was about now though and not one Wigan poster wants to consider what Phil Clarke said.

I can understand that, I never really want to consider what Phil Clarke says. If he said that he appears to be getting into the sky mentality of Eddie and Stevo of saying something just to be controversial rather than a considered opinion.

| I know, I think the topic should have stood on the Wigan board, whether losing big matches is starting to get into their heads is a worthwhile topic to discuss.
Personally I don't think it is, if you look at the number of players we've lost over the last few seasons and take into account the average age of the squad I think we've been punching above our weight for the past couple of years and we could be in for some silverware pretty soon.
We're definitely a centre short, oh to find another George Carmont from somewhere, but I think we'll be challenging next season if we can keep the squad healthy.

| Think you can break down the losses into the three different competitions
WCC - they were never going to win in Aus, hardly a surprise and they gave the best account of SL teams in this years contest.
GF - probably would've strolled it in 2014 if not for Flower and this year was nip and tuck with Leeds riding high on emotion.
CC - two consecutive QF defeats at home against opposition you'd expect them to beat. Probably not a choke as such as more an underestimating of the opposition.

I agree that losing can be a habit but its not one Wigan have and I just cant understand why Clarke dreamt up that statement. I thought you looked very strong this year. I liked the three quarters and particularly your left side attack in the GF. Obviously Burgess will be a miss but Charnley is more than adequate.
Why did Clarke say it? Is it something Wigan fans have been whispering to themselves?

Wigan didn't reach the last eight of the Challenge Cup this year, the losing Quarter-Finalists were Hull, Leigh, Les Catalans and Widnes.
I'd also say the way they lost to Hull KR was both an underestimation of their opponents and a choke.
