| Never mind Bottom 4 which is nailed on, this Leeds team is on target to finish [ubottom[/u and, barring some divine intervention, miracles, favourable planet alignments, etc, they will finish bottom after 23 rounds.
They already require 2 wins just to move up one place on the ladder and that assumes the other bottom dwelling teams don't register any wins. Their points difference is 119 points worse than the next worst SL teams points difference.
Leeds fully deserve to be where they are this season and can thank themselves fortunate that the structural changes introduced 18 months ago doesn't relegate the bottom team in a more thoroughly deserving manner.
Instead, Leeds will be provided with two "Get Out Of Jail Free" cards. Just finish in the Top 3 of the Middle 8's and you're back in SL next season. And if they can't manage that, then feel free to finish 4th or, even better, 5th (they know all about that position of mediocrity from their Sinny and JP days) and they get a Million Pound Play-Off Game to rescue themselves.
Lucky, Lucky Leeds - Super League occupancy handed to them next season on several silver platters.

If the pies can get away with it why not Leeds.'"

| Worst Leeds team I've ever seen. And I started watching in 82. We used to be inconsistent, you never knew which Leeds would turn up. No lack of consistency now, same rubbish every week.

Yep, same but since 1976.
This is now comfortably worse than the 1996 side, and that had the likes of Phil Hassan, the Gibbons twins and Graham Holroyd as regulars.

1978 for me...as you say for many years Leeds flattered to deceive. We now seem to have a team that can't even be d trying to deceive us with the odd win here and there.

I will give you the Gibbons twins. But Hassan was far better than the much credited Keinhorst in this team, and Holroyd was in a different league to Sutcliffe. I remember much worse players than those.

| I have been going since 1968 and the lack of quality shown by this side is worst I have seen - I missed a chunk between 1990-1998 when I lived abroad and down south.

The 1996 side had some reasonable players in it: Adrian Morley, Terry Newton, Franny, Foresaw, Marvellous Marvin Tony Kemp.

| This side has some great players in it, what they are doing in the pitch is frankly unbelievable. If we'd lost the CC semi, not scored in the last 10 seconds against Hudds last year (and finished 3rd), and not made the GF, then this season would still be an inexplicable disaster. But Leeds won everything - and deservedly, Leeds were the best team in the comp last season, and this year we are deservedly at the bottom of the table as the worst team.

Whatever the differences of opinion on here....everybody must agree the extreme fall from grace is not only so unexpectedly spectacular ...it is apparently getting worse with not just beatings but post CEO 'bear with us' absolute tonkings.
It really is like a runaway train gathering speed downhill even after some experienced hands are slowly managing to clamber back onboard.

It's mind blowing how bad we are. 3 wins out of 16, minus god knows how much points difference. Of those 3 wins rains was a leveller against hull, saints inexplicably gave us a 16 point start otherwise would have won, and huddersfield was a terrible performance in which we sneaked home with a lucky keinhorst try.
It's appalling and the excuses are bullsh*t. Few weeks into the season, yeah sure the injuries and the flooding have disrupted, however months later it doesn't wash.
Unless something changes between now and the middle 8's leeds will be in massive danger of being relegated. Fundamentally things are not right. The players aren't putting in their all and Mcdermott has no clue how to turn their form around.
We are f*cked.

| watched them since 1981 - its about time someone took some responsibility for this collapse. I am sick of the same old same old coming out each week. "back to training on Monday and start again" et. Waiting for things to improve of their own accord is NOT the answer - These are no longer defeats each week, these are thrashings!
