| Quote ninearches="ninearches"Also well done to Bev Risman for his award. Many bad childhood memories of him kicking Warrington to death ; didn't Bev take over the goal kicking when Lewis Jones retired?
'"
Just about although there were a couple of years inbetween Jones and Risman where Robin Dewhurst predominantly took on the goal-kicking duties.

| Well done to JP and everybody connected with him. I work with his wife and I've had the fortune to speak with him on
various occasions. He is a friendly giant of a guy and one that has, and will, always give his heart, body and soul towards the cause.
When he finally retires from playing, hopefully not for a few years, you won't of heard the last of him.
Thankfully the Bulls loss was our major gain. One of the true British legends of the modern game.

| I'm undecided about the merits of professional sportspeople picking up honours for performance/longevity in a job they're already pretty well rewarded for.
The Bev Risman honour however carries no such reservations and is richly deserved for someone who has put so much into the game since his retirement as a player.

| Congrats to Jamie Peacock MBE and Bev Risman OBE on their recent recognition for what they have done for everything RL related. JP has been an ambassador for the game for some years now, even if you don't like the man you have to respect him for what he has acheived in the game and what he has done for the game in the wider community.
This, as you can tell by my avatar, has been left by a Saints fan. Roll on 03/02/2012

Nothing less than I would expect from someone who takes his username from another great servant of the game.

Schofield junior. Hmmm. Just signed a pay as you play deal at Dewsbury. He'll be about sixth choice stand off. Might have him down the Cross if he's any good. Seconds mind.

| Belated congrats to JP but I feel that Kieron Cunningham deserves one as well. I dont know if he has been offered one and turned it down like many suspect Sinny will do, should he be offered one. But KC has won more team trophies than anyone else in the SL era and that deserves some recognition outside of the Sport. If Faz got an OBE surely KC deserves an MBE!!

Dont think you have to be nominated, but you can nominate people! Maybe we should nominate some Leeds players!!
The most likely imo are:
Sinfield - Captained 5 Championship winning sides
Burrow - only player in SL to win 2 Harry Sunderland awards and got all 37 votes last time
