| Idiots are worse, and much more offensive when they are drunk.
Anyone who can't walk properly shouldn't be allowed in.
Anyone causing trouble once in the gorund should be kicked out and punished.
I'm not suggesting no one should be allowed a drink, I probably would ban it from the seats though

| I've attended a few union games at Headingley & Otley over last couple of seasons, and never seen the drunkenness I regular see at RL games.
Always been an enjoyable experience, and happy to take my kids along

| Key elements are that some coaches are allowing beer on which is against the law. meaning that coach loads are arriving already hammered at noon till 1pm, they are allowed into the ground due to the stadium not having any stewards outside by the turnstyle. Then they are allowed more booze because the hired help on the bars will not refuse service.

| From reading this thread, it would appear that some people unfortunately mysteriously attract trouble. For the past 6 seasons, both at Wembley and Old Trafford, I have never encountered any trouble or threatening behavior in my vicinity, and this is always sitting in the ends in the "cheap seats", usually with Leeds fans, who have conducted themselves well.
Are people just hypersensitive? This year, my and my party were sat in a similar location to others who have commented in this thread (Leeds end, top tier, corner on the tunnel side) and there was a bit of rowdyness towards the back with a few people spilling their ale but nothing all that offensive? I'm not sure what people are thinking when they personally challenge the people that are causing trouble as this will just stir things up 10 fold. Like some have said, tell a steward if you are that concerned. Last week at The Stoop a few Warrington supporters in the next block were getting a bit upset at several of us celebrating Broncos tries. As usual they were offering us out for a fight etc, best thing IMO to do is give them a smile and a wave, rather than telling them to be quiet.

Which then makes it look like you're taking the mickey out of them and antagonises them further.
Best thing to do is inform the stewards and ignore them, not make matters worse.

| Having a neutral are would make no difference, I feel. Idiots are idiots all year round, not just when they've had a sip of Southern ale. In the neutral end, you'd still get rival fans sitting together and idiots would still create, albeit fewer as I feel that neutrals are there for the Rugby rather then a fight.
Ban all drinking on coaches for a start. I imagined many from Leeds/Warrington were ripping cans open at 7/8am on Saturday and boozed all day and probably till they were arrested or passed out.
Do what they do at Old Trafford and ban drinking in view of the pitch too, that stops the chucking of beer and stops people from boozing non-stop as it means they'll have to get up, get there beer then drink it out of sight of the pitch. I drink but a pint wouldn't get me out of my seat at the Cup Final.

Not illegal to drink on a coach. Football coaches yes but not any other. It robust "policing" at the turnstiles though. Nobody who is blathered at 230pm should be allowed in. Sadly though some see away games and big games as an excuse to get blathered. I fail to see how they enjoy the games or remember them. It's not all fans at all, but it's the few that can spoil it for some. I had a Wire fan next to me who was more like the village idiot constantly getting in my face and grabbing me when Wire scored. If I had wanted to or been inclined he may well have had a few problems to deal with. I am neither Leeds or Wire yet he felt the need to try and wind me up. I won't let it spoil my experience though and will be at Wembley twice next year.

| I have only just discovered this forum, after speaking to a really genuine Leeds fan before the game on Saturday, hence this being my first post.
I didn't come across any real trouble during my weekend stay (Friday - Sunday) and all of the fans I met whilst seeing the sites of London and before and after the game were all a great representation of the sport.
The only trouble I came across was on the way back to my hotel with my girlfriend when a fellow Warrington fan had a few to many and had a few unpolite words to say about Yorkshire. Consequently a group of around 10 Bradford fans were quick in telling the bloke where to go, but we're also quick to apologise when the situation was defused.
Overall I thought it was a great weekend, and has left my thoughts of leeds fans on a good note.
