The worst overseas signing we've ever made? I'd pay his contract up now myself if I had the money. Whoever is doing our recruitment is really making a complete mess of things.

Worst overseas signing so far since Trindall definitely. At least we kicked him to the curb PDQ though. He might eventually make a great Saints player once he settles down in a consistent, winning team, but never at #6. And we let Leon go to get him and are stuck with him for another 3.5 years.... Gutted

I said it before a ball was kicked, royce Simmons made a Huge huge mistake in signing a fullback to play stand off. I also stick by my comments that Royce simmons has set us back years!



Lance hohaia has no natural rugby brain, he passes go passing sake, he hardly takes the line on and is basically invisable.



His kicking game is the worst I've ever seen at any level of rugby and that includes kids level. He hardly finds the ground on any kick and mostly Dow. The wingers or fullbacks throat.



I don't agree he's our worst ever signings and I feel sorry for him as he's being asked to play a postion he just can't play.



He's certainly the worse stand off we've ever had.

Clueless, clueless, clueless, point at the defence, clueless, clueless, clueless.

Needs to be used elsewhere, he's largely ineffectual at Stand Off.

If I can see it, you can see it, most saints fans can see it, Brown can see it, millward can see it but why can't Royce Simmons and saintsfan see it?



Just t think, we got another three and half seasons of this!

More worrying that Rushy can't see it.

Gaskell isn't experinced enough to play alongside lomax but it's got to be better than hohaia being there.

And playing U20s is not going to get him any more experienced.



If we face the fact that we are not going to see silverware this year it would seem the very least we can do is get performances and experience out of what is going to be the backbone of saints for years to come.



I'm not anti Lance, the guy is a great athlete and gives us plenty options to sure up positions in the event of injuries but no way is the guy our best HB option.

Rushie reverted to experienced heads after an awful start under Simmons this season. Thats passed, and we need to develop & move on as team. Lance rarely occupies first or second receiver, his kicking game is awful and brings no vision or creativity whatsover, in fact his indecision costs us big time on occassions. He simply isnt a half back, pig sick of saying it.

Gaskell & Lomax know each others games & work well together. Gaskell deserves an extended run again, offers a bit of pace a kicking game and unlike Hohaia can actually run with the ball and commit a defender.

Gaskell should be playing has a much better kicking game and passing game.



The real problem then is the inexperience of Lomax we can#t afford to have two young players at half back - that's what Rushy can see!
