I'd be more tempted to bring Makinson in for Meli of the two. Meli's work rate was dire last week.

Me too, to be honest, but that's never going to happen. Meli never, ever gets dropped.

Did you go to Widnes? I did. I saw the three try saving tackles Makinson made to help win us the game. They were things of beauty; perfect technique, one on one, beautifully done and saved our bacon. And that was just one example in one game where Makinson did a lot more than Gardner - who basically invited a try to be scored.

Gardner is great at being a forward. But he did not do in that one game more than Makinson has done in all of his this season. That's an insult to Makinson and reveals a lack of awareness in yourself.

Makinson has been well below his best all season, surely you agree on that? however, if he'd have been following Percival up the pitch i think at least a couple of those breaks could have been tries with his pace instead of Meli
