He then made the step back to prop as his body failed him. It was there that he produced his best rugby for Wigan and I'll admit he carried some shocking Wigan sides in that period.

EVERY England / GB coach picked Farrell ahead of Scully as captain. Only deluded Saints fans believe Scully was a better player. |

He was a great leader of Wigan and a fine player. Sadly, Sky made him out to be something he wasnt. He was a fine prop, good loose forward and decent stand off. |

I know both of those.
I think we all know the Golden Boot was a novelty vote for British RL, Farrell was never the best player in the world.
I'd say he deserved to captain GB when he did though early in his career. He shouldn't have captained for so long though when his performances for GB proved that he possibly didn't warrant being picked, let alone captain. |
