There was nothing Potter could possibly have done. We were dead on our feet from the kick off, it's the lack of squad depth that is costing us, not the lack of ability or coaching he's getting at.

Unquestionably. But all you've done is looked at exactly what I said from another perspective. It was clear in the build up that Saints didn't want the trip to Edinburgh and that more than a few of them are running on empty because of the workload they've had so far this season. Given our lack of a squad, we were bound to drop a few games over the coming month or two. I just hope they can recover enough to beat Catalans at the weekend. |

I would expect that the simple, and most likely explaination, would be that, somebody else (who was out of shot) was saying something at the time.

I'd say its too soon to say better - we have at times this year looked very good just like at times during Anderson reign we looked dog .. the last 2 grand finals are 2 prime examples. |

Except it didn't work when Ando tried it in 2 Grand Finals.
The past couple of weeks is really nothing new. Saints have ALWAYS been a side who will turn someone over one week, then frustrate the week after.
We have bigger issues to deal with in the future, like honing youngsters into key roles. That is why we have Potter in the hot seat.
I don't think a bollocking at half time on Saturday would have changed the scoreline. Wigan wanted it, they were fired up, and Saints looked disinterested. |
