Me too - after seeing the Oz version were 4th played 8th and the potential for that happening here nearly happening, it's changed m views on the whole play off system. Perhaps top should mean that and then a separate end of season competition like in the days of the Premiership

What about the side finishing top picking all the play-off games?

Someone mentioned a few weeks on GMR ago a top 7 instead of a top eight.

must admit i thought it was a rubbish/stupid idea but when it came to it i think it created a good talking point and a bit of excitement which changed my mind about it a bit. i say keep it how it is. i agree tho that some of the play off games were boring but u cant say that about the semis.

Totally agree, I'm a Wigan fan but i think the Saints team that had 4 consecutive top of the league finishes in 05, 06, 07, 08 was one of the greatest rugby teams i have ever seen, to only have 1 championship in that period is almost criminal.

OR go back to the Top 5 at the most. The friggin league isnt good enough for a top 8 for gawds sake, you can shove the top 8 up yer daft wrinkly bums the RFL.

Top 5 or top 8 we would still have been left with the 1st and 2nd playing each other.

How about the top 2 playing each other over 2 or 3 games at the end of the season.

Completely agree. The team that finish top are Superleague Champions. Then have a playoff of the top 6 for the Premiership Champions. A lot more needs to be made of the league winners. You get a hubcap trophy that no one cares about, and is riduculed. You have been consistantly the best team in 27 rounds of RL and it means nothing!! Its a joke.

just to throw a spanner in the works if in the unlikely event saints or leeds finished 7th next season and the rfl reverted back to the top 6 what would be your views on the format then?
