Im glad that the Club have confirmed it, i think the farewell plans will be fantastic and hope it will bring together all decades of the club and the return of many famous faces.

However, will we be able to have a "final farewell" game at KR? Even as A Saints fan the last ever game at Central Park was very emotional for me. With the play off system we now have, it may not be possible to know in advance what will be the last home game of the season.

I'm not seeking to be pedantic but it says "special" farewell game.



Given my earlier comments I wonder if the Club have in mind a special farewell game which might not actually be the last game as such or indeed a special end of season extra - both scenarios would be disappointing IMHO.

Mixed feelings for me. I've had some truly great memories there and the atmosphere there when we were good a few years back was often sensational.



The 'stadium' has held the club back an awful lot over the last decade however. In a ground like Hull FC's Saints would have been playing to crowds of 15,000+ every week instead of scraping 7,000 most weeks.



Now however the rugby is dour, the atmosphere is non existent and I truly hate the place.

Thats how it has been all along but that won't stop someone complaining

I have a feeling it might be Wigan?

You would have thought that if that was the case then Saints would have requested their last home Superleague game to be against Wigan before the the 2010 fixtures were compiled, just as Wigan did back in 1999.

There last game against cas not really a game that as sell out written on it.

Great news for the club and the sport. I actually despise going to KR now, matchdays have become a bit of a chore. The new stadium could reignite St. Helens RLFC.







Saints will have to market it as best they can. Should we finish in the top 4 we'll get a home game in the Play Offs which will almost guarantee to get a bumper crowd though.
