I don't think Elimer connected with an elbow to Lomax's head. If he had I would agree that would be bad and probably deserving of a straight red. Elimer appeared to catch Lomax with his shoulder and then his arm came up after the impact. I wasn't aware that the use of the shoulder was illegal in RL indeed Bailey on Fa'asavalu last season would suggest that it isn't, unless the law has been changed.
A very quick decision from Ganson which is unlike him as he usually pretends to consult his touch judges while taking advice from the video referee when he's available.
I hope Lomax makes a quick recovery. |

Don, grow up mate.
I remember a incident last year but can't really recall the tackle, Morleys hit last night was no worse than Elimas and no red card, unlike is hit the week before on Sherwin that deserved one.
If the RFL back up Ganson then fine and i hope whatever the outcome Lomax as suffered no more than a dizzy head from it and is ok.
The game needs to do all it can to protect players. |

I just wish other refs would send off after such tackles but Ganson appears to be the only one with any cajones. |

In your opinion,mine is that Lomax had beaten Elima with good footwork and the only way the former Wakey player could stop him was with a very late and quickly raised arm,and he certainly stopped him.
If the RFL see it your way then fine, we got the points but more importantly Lomax looked okay sat on the bench. |

Well done to Lomax for carrying on enough to get over the line two tackles later, then coming off not to return!
Elima isn't a dirty player, but the tackle was a bad one. You can clearly see on the shot from behind the posts that he lifts the elbow to go for Lomax, then follows though the head. If Elima hadn't lifted his elbow he wouldn't have made contact with Lomax! Dirty player? no, Malicious tackle? unfortunately yes |
