Let me see, 2010 Grand Final Winners or 2010 derby winners....let me think about this now............isn't it all the pies who keep telling us we got nothing for beating them 75-0 in a derby match, but they won the Challenge Cup for beating us 27-0 at Wembley.



Same applies here, we get nothing for beating them in the last derby match, but we get to be GF winners by winning at Old Trafford, and the easiest way to do that is by playing Hudds in the semi, and letting Wigan and Leeds hammer hell out of each other.

No doubt it'll be a real ding dong battle between us and Leeds but Saints certainly aren't going to have it all their own way against Huddersfield, that game could be just as draining for the winner as the Leeds - Wigan game.



As a Wigan fan I'm thankful for two things, first were not at home, and second we've not had a weeks rest. You find that a lot sides after a weeks rest lose their rhythm and coordination in attack and defense.

The rest depends on the team, last week tony smith said he was glad that wolves didn't have the rest but after watching last nights game, i'd say they looked in need of the weeks rest.



Saints will defo not have it all there own way but why on earth would saints pick the best team in super league, with the best coach in super league, with the most players in the dream team, the team with two out three players up for man of steel and also the 2nd best coach in the league in wane - that's the point of all wigan fans this year.



So really lets be honest, it wasn't a hard choice.



Also the add the fact hudds have had two tough 80 min games and we've sent you lot to leeds to knock crap out of each other.

So we lost the last but 11? Game at KR, hardly worthy of the record books, not like your record defeat is it?

Seems to me that it's only Goons that are bothered about this decision.

Their own chairman didn't want to come either.

I think the goons are worried that they bottled the first play off game against leeds at DW and now have to go to leeds!



They are also bitter that finishing top means nothing as they didn't get the club call.

What it shows is the pies are really frightened of Leeds, and what they might do to them.



They also have an overbearing sense of their own self importance and think its their birthright to play the last game at KR.

Don't know for certain but if the palyoffs didn't have this stupid rule of picking your oppnents, wouldn't Saint now be facing Huddersfield anyway? All that's happened here is the games have taken their "natural" course. Can't say I blame Saints at all, by far the smartest decision.

The reality is for all their bluster they will probably have the hubcap and a final KR derby win as the sole spoils from 2010.
