We've got LMS and Clough. Are they expected to do 80 minutes or are we going with the likes of Ashurst and Dixon at prop?
There simply MUST be props in the academy.'"
This i do find really quite poor Frodsham must be stuck in time if he can't make a 19 when we have 3 props injured and one second row cum prop only back recently from serious injury. Am surprised to not see someone from the U20's on the bench.
I noticed the other week in the championship game we have a lad on dual reg at Swinton he was a fairly big unit Warren Thompson (Sam's brother?), I know it is a major step up but surely he could do a job for 20mins just to give the others a break, we face getting blitzed down the middle if we have a pack of Ashurst, Roby, Dixon, Moore, Flannery, Wilkin at the same time. |

I'd give hale a run out tbh. Think we are far to light in the pack and Roby off the bench against a tiring defence could be a way of upping the ante for us if were struggling plus he could do with a bit a break to freshen up. If the pack wasn't so light I'd have give him the weekend off. ashurst / Dixon as has been discussed to death are too similar and too alike ect....... That's why I'd give hale a go to see what he can do as he did well last time out.

Probably Hull KR is one of the better teams to play when very light on the bench as they don't have any really huge guys themselves, do they? They also like to throw the ball around and stuff rather than do the barge business. So although we are excessively lean on the forwards, if the two remaining do their jobs properly and Scotty and the young crew play as hard as they did last week, we should still be in with a chance.

Valid comments although i reckon we will go with a third prop at 13 this week and play a tighter game in order to try and take advantage of your lack of front rowers. If we try to play an open game then we will lose, i reckon our players and coaching staff know that.
Maybe we can cut loose and throw the ball about in the final quarter when we have worn you down. Or maybe i'm just seriously over-optimistic. |

Under Ian Millward we had a Championship winning team and we usually only had 1 maybe two props. They are slow and get in the way!!!
As for Saddeneds theory about losing being a sign of impending doom. We haven't won on humberside (Hull or Hull KR) for over 2 years.
