He's had enough time to 'bed in' now but no more, he continues to make the most horrendous cock-ups with the ball in hand. Twice after breaks and with overlaps he has turned the ball back inside today, appalling decision making. His kicking game is dire and he is looking like an expensive mistake.



Wigan are a good enough defensive team without making it easy for them. We're fortunate to have scored any points against them so far this season and no wonder with this pair of 'halfbacks.' We definitely need a shake-up in those positions.

I've never seen a worse kicking game on my life. It's horrific! He can't find ground with any kick!



Either play him fullback or get shut!

And how do we do that when he's on a FOUR year deal!

Gaskel plus AN Other at HB, Lomax at FB.

Stadium costs have naturally meant squad strength took a temporary dip. Manu & Turner bring pace, power & size. We have a nucleus of a great young squad, short of a real organising half back, a house prop, and abit of extra pace out wide. Add Manu & TP to that pack & Turner in centres and we start looking alot more competative.

Makinson, Swift & Jones a year on will be pushing hard for first team spots and bring depth to the squad.

Alot depends on whether the likes of Hohaia & Perry can be offloaded to accomodate fresh blood.

That said I thought today we didnt work hard enough off the ball, not many people willing to push up & hit holes for the ball carrier today. Lacked leadership today of a Scully, Longy, KC or Graham. Lack the talisman to drag us through in those types of games when were not playing that well.

After seeing Wellens attempted tackle on Finch I would gladly give Lance a go at fullback.

I'm inclined to agree. I only saw the Leeds match before leaving for the USA. Then the Wakey game. I assumed Lance was offering something that steadied the ship in that time. However 2 games on the run that I've seen live since being back and sorrry but he offers nowt. I don't mean to say he is bad, but he ain't good. I'd gladly take back Gaskell into the team now. Yes he did not have a great start but even in his poorer game he tried stuff that did not come off. Lance tried diddle until the game was gone when he did a chip over but in that position everyone was trying random stuff.



I'm also now starting to get ready to put the boot in on Shenton.



Defensively it's a pretty sound team, we had a problem in the first half with Shentons wing but it was fixed at half time. What we cannot fix at half time is our attack. It's plain woeful. Last week we sent everything through Roby. Well against a well drilled middle defense plan A does not work. Roby had a few runs but no one was with him.



Wellens gets bagged for pace, but from a scrum he was clean through and pulling away from any support only Wiganers with him.



I know Shenton has been injured and our halves are woeful at getting the ball out, but we could have kept hold of Gilmore for less probably and had as much if not more joy from him.



I'm not going to say we are terrible and have no chance, but changes are needed in the short term and long term.

Short term we need idea's at half back rather than pass over lomax's head, he jumps in the air, runs sideways a few meters and then telegraphs an inside ball. Whilst Lance just looks on doing jack.



He's a white elephant for me.

He's turning out to be one of the worst signings we've made in recent memory. For the money he's undoubtedly on he offers nothing at all

Perry hardly looks worth a contract either
