| Wellens has been one of our better players and has shown some passion and concern. He had every right to go to the ref to ask him to check for obstruction. Sia has made a few mistakes today and needs to come out with his better head on in the second half.

| Quote Carlos Alberto="Carlos Alberto"Both the team and the coaching set up needs tearing down and rebuilding. We've coasted on the DA years too long now. This is sh*t.'"
Pretty much summed up in a few words.
We've had this coming, and some people (including some at the club) have clearly been living on adifferent planet. I predicited Wigan by 40+ to friends and got laughed at. It's plain to see how badly we are coached, we have played off Roby with no plan B for years now and Anderson was the one who started it. 4 drives and one identical move is simply not enough any more at this level.
Bring on Brown, things need shaking up. He have no organiser, no leader and very little pace. I'm sure these will be Brown's first task and he'll sort it.

The whole team has made one fundamental mistake: not turning up.
They should be fined for offences against rugby league.

| Embarrassing. Being out-played by 11 players.
Saints are too soft, there's no aggression in the tackle. The line doesn't move up quickly and with menace like wi*an's does, just wait for the ball-carrier to build up a head of steam to get the upper hand in the collision. I'm lost as to why Hock decided to take his screw out because it's not like Saints had been digging at wi*an players.

| Hats off to LMS. He's really had a go. The only Saints player whose performance could be approached without a gasmask.

| What we're seeing here is the fruits of a well drilled coaching set up. Wigan got it right with Maguire and his backroom team, and it is continuing now. Also benefits their youngsters greatly, who look leagues ahead of ours.
Sadly, we got Royce Simmons.

True.
A couple of players but in *OK* performances to go with LMS's good showing - but apart from that, garbage.

Except he was fired months ago. So this is nothing to do with him. We've got Rush and Cunningham, ie two extremely inexperienced individuals who were dropped on by a Chairman who thought we were still the 2006 team. He may now realise that we are not.

Got to agree.
Wigan are well coached and playing at the top of their game. They are far from the best ever Wigan side but they seem to be performing at 100% in attack and defence. Moreover, to give them credit they have a passion based on the recruitment of local players.
Lessons for us - build a 'team' as well as going for 'names'. We have a small nucleus of a team who could win trophies in the long term - Lomax, Roby. It is clear that we need two other elements for the spine ie full back and stand off and two big hard nuts in the pack to induce fear.
I cannot go along with others on the board in any abject criticism of Wello. He has been our best ever full back and soon he will join the queue of former greats Joynt, Long, Scully who were surrounded by class players when we were perennial trophy winners.
We were great just six days ago but the opposition today were on another level. We cannot panic mid-season and I feel we will still be too good for most of the other teams in SL.
Thought I would comment before all the killer negative bandwagons roll back into town.

Maguire put in place the structures for success at Wigan, Ape has built on that,we have gone backwards with Potter and Simmons. DA was the last top coach we had.
Your showing your lack of understanding, sadly things cant be changed overnight , hopefully with the Brown appointment he will be influencing some changes already (transfers and contract renewals) and he will have a good pre season to get his idea's bedded in.

Even more idiotic than normal, JW is not a standoff, he is a loose forward or second row
