Late last year there were press releases stating that Oldham RLFC wanted to improve the stadium to take the capacity up from 1,502 to the 3,000 required for the Championship, but that there focus initially would be ensuring there are facilities in place to put a perimeter around it and charge people for entry.

Should move it to Langtree Park IMO. Bigger crowd, so a bigger pay day for Oldham. They won't give up home "advantage" but surely someone somewhere has to make these decisions from a business perspective.

But would we want this? How much would hosting such an unappetising fixture cost? I suspect there will be a figure around the 5 or 6 thousand mark where the club would break even on hosting the event.

It might be played at Oldham Athletics ground or so I have heard.

Chances are that this wil be played at LP, the whitebank is not up to the required level to play a Super league team. Chris Hamilton told the fans last night any draw with an SL club, we would surrender home advantage, and Boundary Park is not an option. I just hope that we play you on a Sunday, and not your normal Fri night.
