That's assuming that is who we are getting. We don't know yet who we are getting. But whoever it is, he will know very quickly whether the fans like him or not! Saints fans are not shy in expressing their opinions.  |

That's my concern. None of the names being mentioned have me excited about our chances. Whoever we go for will have their work cut out because of our home game situation next year. Having said that it's not like we've been invincible at home over the past four or five years. Potter has kept us very competitive in a competition that has become more competitive at the top thanks to Wigoon and Wire's improvement. Let's face it, under Anderson who else was there challenging us besides Leeds? Nobody.
Anderson was a very good coach but too many of us have been quick to create a case against Potter and whilst that may be the right decision in the end (it also may not be) my concern is about ending up in a turnstile coaching situation which could see us end up in a downward spiral which instability often brings. |

Simmons is another bad choice, doesn't make Potter's appointment any better a call.
Is it a sign the leadership at the top isn't what we thought it was? Competence and even brilliance in a business sense doesn't necessarily translate to an ability to make sound recruitment decisions.

I thought that at first and if you base it on his record as a head coach your correct but that was a long time ago and he has had alot of 'coaching' by Tim Sheens since ... |

From what I've read he's alot more Rock n Roll lol .. I think he's calmed down a fair bit though in recent year. I pretty sure he wont be as lifeless as Potter though |
